Swan Traffic Management delivers quality traffic management services to government, mining companies and other civil construction companies. With an experienced team of qualified traffic control specialists we are dedicated to providing our clients with reliable, safe and efficient traffic control solutions statewide.

About the Role

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for all aspects of HR across our 100–140 employees. Reporting directly to the General manager, you'll oversee recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, performance, culture, and employee relations.

You'll work closely with depot managers, corporate staff, and the executive team to build a high-performing, values-driven culture that supports sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities


• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding across all teams


• Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, WHS, and relevant awards


• Maintain and update HR policies, contracts, and procedures


• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, grievances, and performance


• Design and implement training and development pathways


• Drive culture and engagement initiatives that support retention and connection


• Oversee HR administration and employee records management


• Partner with the GM and Directors on leadership development and succession planning

What We're Looking For


• HR or People & Culture qualifications, ideally at degree level


• 5 years' minimum experience in HR or People & Culture leadership roles


• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and compliance


• Hands-on experience supporting operations team and support staff


• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills


• Resilient, pragmatic, and able to lead change in a growing business


• Willingness to travel to regional depot sites across W.A
