Job Description: Diesel Motor Mechanic (Commercial/Heavy Transport)

Location: Perth, Western Australia

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on diesel engines and commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel vehicles.
  • Repair or replace faulty components and systems, including brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems.
  • Conduct test runs to ensure proper vehicle functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance services performed.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry practices and technologies related to diesel mechanics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients and team members.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a diesel motor mechanic.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, including their systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Competence in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desired Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as a diesel motor mechanic, specifically in commercial or heavy transport settings.
  • Experience working with a variety of diesel vehicles and heavy machinery.
