As a Senior DevOps Engineer at MSA National, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and optimising robust and secure cloud environments. Working in partnership with development, security, and operations teams, you'll play a crucial role in designing automation workflows, implementing infrastructure as code, and ensuring our platforms are always available, scalable, and resilient. You will mentor peers, contribute to strategic decisions, and champion best practices across the organisation.

What you'll work on

• CI/CD Platform Management – Oversee, maintain, and optimise on-premises continuous integration and deployment platforms, including Jenkins and Octopus Deploy. Ensure high availability, conduct performance tuning, and implement deployment automation for reliability and efficiency.
• Azure Infrastructure & Pipelines – Design, develop, and manage build and deployment pipelines across multiple Azure subscriptions. Architect scalable, tenant-aware Azure solutions in accordance with industry best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep. Champion GitOps methodologies, ensuring infrastructure definitions are version-controlled and changes are auditable and reproducible.
• Monitoring & Alerting – Develop, configure, and support comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for both on-premises and Azure workloads. Utilise tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and Uptime Robot to proactively identify and address operational issues.
• Platform Security – Enforce security best practices across infrastructure and application layers. Conduct regular security reviews, implement robust encryption, secure networking, and manage access controls to safeguard critical assets.
• Scripting & Automation – Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and shell for infrastructure management, alerting, and workflow automation, driving operational efficiency and reliability.
• Operating System & Systems Administration – Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on-site in Macquarie Park.

• Extensive experience (+5 years) managing large-scale Azure environments (multi-tenant, enterprise-grade).
• Deep knowledge of Azure services: AKS, App Services, Functions, Storage, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Monitor, Application Gateway, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform (module development, multi-cloud), Bicep, and Ansible.
• Secure cloud architecture design aligned with CIS, NIST, and DevSecOps frameworks.
• Proven ability to operate Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and container platforms with service discovery, scaling, failover, and security.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, AppInsights, Fluentd, Sumo Logic, Qradar).
• CI/CD pipeline expertise (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Helm, Kubernetes deployments).
• Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Go, and PowerShell.
• Solid background in Linux/Windows administration and configuration management with Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience in automated security scanning and remediation for infrastructure and containers.
• Track record of reducing provisioning/configuration times via automation.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills with strong documentation ability.
