Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a critical role for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join this renowned financial services firm in Sydney.

As a key member of the Engineering DevOps Practice, you will be working across a range of high profile projects with a core focus on AWS, and you remit will include:

  • Design, implement and deploy cloud controls utilising IaC for AWS
  • Drive automation in setup, config. & the operation
  • Ensure CI/CD design & engineering processes adhere to standards
  • Write and integrate standardised configuration management scripts
  • Automate environment provisioning workflows
  • Embed best practices into the CI/CD process.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Advanced experience of development, deployment and operation of AWS environments.
  • Strong experience with Python and Bash scripting
  • Skills with enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools
  • Deep experience of cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation
  • Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Cloud Engineering experience  on public, private & hybrid cloud
  • Knowledge of containerisation concepts & implementation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools - GitLab, GitHub, Cloud Build, CodeBuild

Your AWS experience should span:

  • Compute & Container Services (EC2, Lambda), Storage & Content Delivery (EFS, S3), Networking (ALB, NLB, API Gateway, VPC), Event Management (SOS, EventBridge, Step Functions), Data Processing & Analytics (Glue, LakeFormation, OMS)
