Our team is collaborative, client-focused, and committed to excellence.   We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Manager to lead and support our operations and assist the four Directors of the Firm in the running of the business.

The Role

As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the firm.   Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee business operations, maintain responsibility for the operation of the Firm's accounts (including Trust Accounts), drive process improvements, manage recruitment, staffing and any HR related issues, and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the firm, including HR, finance, IT, and administration.
  • Lead and support a team of legal and administrative staff.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and billing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal industry regulations, quality assurance requirements, trust account regulations and general risk management protocols.
  • Drive operational efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Support strategic planning, marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar Practice Manager or Office Manager role within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of legal practice management systems (e.g., LEAP, Actionstep, or similar).
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and reporting and accounting software (Xero).
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and communication skills.
