Vehicle Body Builder / Boilermaker / Transport Trailer Mechanic / Trade Assistant

We're hiring now, but if you're planning ahead; we also have start dates available early in the new year

Full-time | Forrestfield, WA

We are recruiting for multiple roles:

• Boilermakers / Fabricators – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent experience.
• Vehicle Body Builders (VBBs) – Certificate III in Vehicle Body Building or equivalent experience.
• Transport Trailer Mechanics – experience in heavy-duty vehicle assembly, repair, and maintenance.
• Experienced Transport Trades Assistants (T/A's) – with relevant hands-on experience supporting trailer or transport assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, assemble, repair, and customise trailers to meet high-quality standards and customer specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and fabricate metal components accurately.
• Perform welding tasks (MIG, TIG, FCAW, arc) as required.
• Assist in trailer customisation, including doors, ramps, OME, and BRE accessories.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, work completed, and any issues encountered.
• Diagnose and repair damage as part of maintenance or service.
• Lead assigned projects safely and effectively, taking ownership and responsibility.
• Support and mentor apprentices or junior team members.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, participate in safety initiatives, and wear PPE as required.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience for your role.
• 3–5 years' experience in road transport fabrication, repair, or maintenance.

Desirable:

• Experience with trailer customisation and heavy-duty road transport equipment.
• Ability to work across multiple BRE sites if required.
