About the role
As a Vehicle Bodybuilder at Major Motors', you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of custom vehicle bodies and components. This full-time role is based in our Forrestfield, Western Australia facility, where you will work collaboratively with the manufacturing team to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to our automotive clients.
What you'll be doing
- Assemble and weld vehicle bodies and components according to engineering specifications
- Manufacturing trays, tippers, custom toolboxes and mining vehicle specifications
- Communicate with the engineering and design teams to understand and execute project requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work environment
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in vehicle bodybuilding, welding or a related trade
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle fabrication, assembly and modification
- Hydraulic experience would be highly regarded in addition to the above
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in the use of welding equipment, power tools and other specialised machinery
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality control
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
