Do you have what it takes to become a Smartgroup Senior Scrum Master?
The Senior Scrum Master will report to the Group Manager Agile. The Scrum Master serves as a facilitator, coach, and mentor to the team, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and techniques to effectively execute their work. The role demands proficiency in Agile methodologies, exceptional leadership skills and a dedication to driving team success.
In this role you will:
- Facilitate Agile events (Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, Sprint demo/showcase).
- Coach team members on Agile concepts, values, principles, and practices.
- Identify and address impediments, risks, and blockers, ensuring timely project delivery.
- Oversee 2-3 squads to ensure timely and budget-compliant product delivery.
- Play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement across the business .
- Facilitate interactive teamwork among squads, addressing issues and mitigating risks within a complex system environment using scrum of scrums, Kanban and scaled agile frameworks.
- Partner with various stakeholders, including senior leaders, squads, product owners, and principal engineers, to ensure timely product delivery.
- Provide reports and dashboards to leadership/management on sprint and program deliverables through the effective use of Atlassian products such as Jira.
You will have:
- Proven experience as Scrum Master in an Agile environment,
- Ability to coach team members in Agile mindset and practices
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience leading diverse and geographically dispersed teams within a fast-paced, flexible, and robust changing environment
- Proficiency in using various IT applications, delivery tools, collaboration tools (e.g. Miro) and agile delivery frameworks
- Certified Scrum Master
- Certified Agile Coach/Trainer
