Based: Fly in Fly out Perth to Mine Site WA

Commencing: ASAP 

Hours: 12-hour days on an 8 days on and 6 days off 

About the Positions

Working in a Mine Site Based Laboratory as a hands on Laboratory Supervisor, you and one other Laboratory Technician will run your shift with the responsibility of providing the highest quality service to clients, complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, crush and split, digest and analyze mineral and ore samples using a variety techniques, procedures, and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO You will be required to understand appropriate techniques for use of Cyanide in the laboratory processes. You will also be required to complete a full medical for site access and provide a copy of a police clearance on application. Relocation assistance for the right candidates.

Selection criteria

The ideal candidates will possess the following skills/qualifications and experience.

Laboratory Supervisor:

  • Cert IV in Lab Techniques (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of sample prep and wet chemistry analytical methods
  • S26 or minimum 2 years in laboratory minesite leading hand/Supervisor role or similar.
  • ·Knowledge of onsite laboratory process in XRF analysis for mineral processing analytical methods
  • Sound relevant administration knowledge and the use of relevant software packages.
  • Understanding of quality processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound analytical skills for reviewing and approving results and responding to client queries.
  • Strong technical ability with regard to laboratory equipment.
  • Demonstrated well-developed, hands-on people leadership skills with a strong desire to develop, mentor and motivate people
