Graduate Metallurgist

Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces in FY26.  

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration potential expected to grow the current high-grade resource. 

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines. 

Bellevue Gold has the ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Bellevue Gold Project by 2026. This will be underpinned by a sector-leading renewable energy power station, with a forecast 70-80% renewable energy penetration rate.

The Graduate Metallurgist is responsible for assisting the Metallurgy and Operations Teams in ongoing processing operations and continuous improvement projects. The Graduate Metallurgist is expected to learn all aspects of the processing plant including exposure to the onsite laboratory and maintenance functions. 

This role is permanent full time and is site based on an 8 days on 6 days off fly in fly out roster, with the flexibility to switch to an 8/6 (Day), 7/7 (Night) as per business requirements.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Opportunity to work where people and safety are at the core of the company's "PACE" values system. 

• Participate in and contribute towards safety improvements in the work place.

• Learning and gaining competency in all sections of the processing plant, including crushing, grinding, CIL, Gold room and laboratory.

• Exposure to maintenance and planning functions.

• Gain exposure to daily and weekly metallurgical accounting practices.

• Work with operational and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.

• Contribute to continuous improvements in the processing department.

• Contribute to Operators' knowledge and understanding of processing and metallurgy through coaching and open communication.

• Contribute to team culture and success

• Other duties as requested by your Supervisor / Manager.

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Tertiary degree qualified in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• Valid WA C class drivers license
• Excellent communication skills, and able to develop a good team culture
• Intermediate to advance level MS Office Suite 
• Intermediate levels in technical writing, reporting and communicating of technical data to relevant parties as required
