About the role

Renewable Industries is seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Newcastle, NSW. As a BDM, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of renewable energy solutions within the local community. This contract position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution, providing tailored advice and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

  1. Proactively engage with potential customers to understand their energy needs and concerns
  2. Conduct in-depth consultations to recommend the most suitable solutions
  3. Prepare detailed proposals and system designs for customers
  4. Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet individual and team targets
  5. Provide post-sale support, ensuring a seamless customer experience
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, products and regulations
  7. Collaborate with the broader team to contribute to the company's growth

What we're looking for

  • Proven sales experience, in the renewable energy or home improvement industry (minimum 3 months)
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of solar power systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to sustainability
  • Drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Fluent in English - both verbal and written
