Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction contracts and project coordination? Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join their reputable and growing design studio known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across Australia.
Role Responsibilities
- As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for the efficient management and administration of project contracts, ensuring smooth communication and compliance from project start to finish. Your duties will include:
- Preparing, reviewing, and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Assisting with tender preparation and procurement processes
- Monitoring budgets, variations, and progress claims
- Liaising with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure project milestones are met
- Managing documentation including RFI's, site instructions, and contract variations
- Ensuring contract compliance and managing risk through proper documentation
- Maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
About You:
Our client is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of contract law and construction processes.
Essential Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in contract administration within the construction industry
- Sound knowledge of building contracts (e.g., AS4000, HIA, MBA)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and excellent time management
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, Buildxact – preferred)
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or similar
