The Opportunity

We're an evolving RTO transitioning to a higher education provider, with exciting plans to offer Bachelor degrees. We're seeking a qualified Human Resources Support Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity with excellent growth prospects, in a fun and relaxed working environment. Our office is conveniently located on the inner north side of Brisbane, with free onsite parking and just a 100m walk from Bowen Hills train station.

What's the role?

As a Human Resources Support Officer, you will join a passionate and rapidly growing vocational education business that truly embraces team work, innovation and macro level thinking. You'll engage with employees on all levels, share your expertise to guide them on all stages of the employee lifecycle, assess and provide constructive feedback, respond to enquiries, and collaborate with our management team. Experience in the following areas, or across most of these is a valuable plus:

  • Building effective working relationships with team leads and assist in driving innovation and proactive business process improvement.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and wider organization.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the recruitment process (e.g., posting job ads, screening, scheduling interviews).
  • Prepare employment contracts, onboarding documents, and other HR-related paperwork.
  • Help coordinate training sessions, performance reviews, and staff events.
  • Facilitate the full employment lifecycle including recruitment and selection.
  • Management of employee files through our custom HRM system.
  • Communicate with employees with a collaborative approach with any changes that are required.
Who are you?
  • Have prior experience in a HR support role.
  • Commercially minded professional with demonstrated capacity to consistently add value to the employee experience.
  • Fun and outgoing with an ability to build rapport on all levels but with a commercial sensibility who understands cost implications of HR in a service environment.
  • Being a fast paced and innovative space, you will need to sometimes improvise and adapt with what the day brings.
