About the role:

To support the production and deployment of PhotonAssay instruments by preparing Chrysos jars and discs, assembling equipment and sub-assemblies, conducting acceptance testing, and assisting with warehouse activities - all in alignment with work instructions, quality standards, and deployment schedules.

This is a part-time position, potentially 3 days a week.

What you will do:

• Prepare, fill, tamp, and weigh Chrysos sample jars accurately.
• Apply barcode labels and record jar details.
• Assembly of Reference discs.
• Clean tools and workspace and dispose of waste safely.
• Operate in compliance with PPE requirements and particulate control measures.
• Assist with Assembly PhotonAssay of detector stations, related equipment, sub-assemblies, and consumables (including Chrysos sample jars and reference discs) to meet deployment schedules.
• Conduct acceptance testing.
• Pick and pack components and consumables for assembly and deployment shipments.
• Support warehouse staff during busy periods or where manual handling is required.
• Ensure all materials are accurately identified, labelled, and handled per safety and handling guidelines.
• Contribute to periodic stock-takes and collaborate with the Supply Chain team as required.
• Utilising existing or developing skills to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to a culture that values collaboration, technical excellence, and ongoing staff learning and development.
• Support a strong workplace health and safety culture.

Who you are:

• Prior experience in laboratory, production, or warehousing environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise technical instructions
• Proficient in basic computer operations, including data entry and barcode scanning
• Physically capable of performing repetitive manual handling tasks
• Committed to maintaining safety and contamination control standards
• Demonstrated consistency and high attention to quality and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Effective communicator with proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
