THE ROLE – WHERE YOU FIT IN

The Senior Production Leader is responsible for supervising the WSL repacking/relabelling production line, coordinating production activities, and maximising efficiencies in a factory/warehouse environment.

Reporting to the Production Manager and also working closely with the Production Team Leader, the Senior Production Leader oversees a small team of production workers and collaborates closely with key staff in all operations. Leading by example, the Senior Production Leader is hands-on on the production line, setting the pace and maintaining high standards.

Tasks will be varied and dynamic, including team supervision and leadership, work health and safety management, workflow coordination, machine maintenance management, quality control, and data collection. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and driving continuous improvement, constantly seeking ways to enhance production processes, alongside the production manager.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum one year of experience in production work (ideally in wine relabelling/repackaging)
• Demonstrated ability to operate processing and packaging equipment.
• Demonstrated achievement of results through own initiative and action.
• High level of customer service and expertise in business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is essential
• Ability to use initiative and perform duties under sound time management principles

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Proficiency in analysing, problem-solving, and initiating improvements in the workplace.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with a diverse range of people, including those with language barriers.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with supervisory and employee team members.
• Ability to engage effectively with other team members to achieve operational KPIs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in production, warehousing, recycling, or similar industry.
• Forklift License

Desirable:

• Workplace supervision of a production line.
• Senior First Aid
