$111,643 to $121,045 (HEW Level 7) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loadingFTC Until 31st December 2026 | Exciting Transformation ProjectBased at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North RydeMacquarie University is hiring for an experienced Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced technology environment.The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in project coordination or project officer roles, with strong skills in managing diverse stakeholders and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.A genuine interest in emerging technologies, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence is highly desirable.Key AccountabilitiesSupport the Deputy CIO and Director Information Technology, MQ Health in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the IT PMO Office and successful delivery of its portfolio of projectsCollaborate with and support Program/Project Managers in setting up, monitoring and tracking dashboardsReview and drive continuous improvement activities relevant to project management delivery and/or the PMO to support informed decision making and planning, including conducting analysis and researchOversee the recruitment, procurement and staff onboarding activities for IT PMO, ensuring compliance with the University's policies and proceduresRegularly track, analyse and report on PMO and program/project budget and expenditures including making recommendations to ensure they meet budget allocationCollate information, draft and prepare executive communications and presentations, as required, including for project steering committees and program boardsEngage with the relevant stakeholders to provide formal and informal communications regarding project status, issues and complianceComply with relevant EEO and WHS regulationsPerform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classificationAbout YouTertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional developmentUnderstanding of project management and risk management fundamentals as well as experience in project coordination within digital transformation or technology environmentsExperience working with one or more project management methodologies (such as Agile, PRINCE2) and relevant domain-level knowledge such as PMBoKExperience in developing reports and dashboards and use of reporting tools to generate actionable insightsExcellent verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersAdept at Monitoring and tracking budgetsStrong organisation and time management skills to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.Developing presentations and drafting communications for executive reportingProficient in use of MS Office Suite, project management, and online collaboration toolsGenuine interest and exposure to Digital Transformation, Emerging Technologies, and/or Artificial Intelligence (Desirable)Familiarity with generative AI concepts and principles of ethical and responsible AI (Desirable)About UsMacquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives.
