What we are looking for
UNICEF Australia's
People & Culture Coordinator
will play a key role in supporting the People & Culture team across the employee lifecycle - from recruitment to offboarding. You will work closely with the Culture & Capability Manager and your peers, leading different lifecycle stages and helping to create an inclusive, collaborative, and values-driven workplace.
Your day will include
- Drive end-to-end recruitment: engage candidates, partner with managers, craft job ads, source and shortlist talent, schedule interviews, and ensure CS&PSEA compliance.
- Coordinate training, induction, Townhalls, and course creation.
- Manage SharePoint content, draft updates, and support departmental news.
- Lead our Internship Program
- Maintain HRIS, update notifications and contracts, and manage People Support tickets - triaging, advising, and troubleshooting.
- Issue contracts, conduct probity checks, streamline workflows, and improve processes.
- Administer changes, liaise with Payroll and managers, and support leave and performance processes.
- Monitor probity expiries, renewals, and update records in HRIS and SharePoint.
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
- Previous experience in a HR / People and Culture Coordination role, Recruitment, or Learning and Development
- Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, SharePoint, Teams), tracking systems, and databases
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of compliance, child safeguarding, and process documentation
- Ability to design and build courses in LMS
- Commitment to the Rights of the Child and alignment with UNICEF Australia's vision, values, and safeguarding principles
- Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
