We are looking for a new part time (4 days) HR expert to join Leecare to be on site in our Essendon location and with the opportunity to work from home.

You will join a team of passionate, diverse and dedicated people who work with our residential aged and community care clients, numbering over 1000 across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK.

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, problem solving, an agile approach to changing priorities and timeframes and, a clear and concise way of  communicating with a collaborative approach when working with all teams.

About the Role

There definitely is variety in this role and every day will be different, providing an opportunity for you to shine by demonstrating your skills and knowledge and taking on the challenges of some things that might be new.

This role is responsible for every HR generalist activities and must be hands on in this operational support role.

The role is critical to

  • Undertake the full scope of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Ensure HR activities align with business goals and support organisational change and growth.
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policy and process.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with current legislation and reflect best practice.
  • Manage HR systems and maintain accurate team member records with a focus on data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Identify, champion and complete HR projects.
  • Support and assist Managers as leaders of teams.
About the Day to Day

Internal Communication

  • Review and enhance SharePoint as an internal communication tool.
  • Review and create documents to increase knowledge and provide instructions related to Leecare Policy and Procedures.

Policy and Procedure

  • Regularly review and update Leecare's Policy and Procedure Manual, including accuracy of current processes, updates to reflect changes in policy and new items from Manager and Team Member feedback.
  • Maintain HR folders with current and update to date information relating to team members. Record relevant information for compliance reporting.
  • Support Managers by providing relevant and appropriate advice. This would include HR processes and policies.
  • Investigate any allegations of non-performance or inappropriate conduct in line with policy and procedure. Provide assistance for Managers to conduct meetings and performance improvement activity.

Recruitment and Orientation

  • Create and manage all recruitment activities to support hiring Managers.
  • Create employment contracts and new starter documentation ensuring everything is completed and returned, then filed and actioned.
  • Coordinate new starter requirements including employment checks, delivering the day one orientation, and arranging other organisational orientation.
About You

You have HR experience, knowledge and skills backed up by your qualifications. You are comfortable undertaking any and all HR requirements to operate as the Manager, business partner and coordinator. You can quickly gain a reputation as the go to person.

You are able to demonstrate your

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines that change quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and collaborate effectively.
  • High integrity and transparency with Managers and team members.
  • Provide ad hoc assistance at short notice.
  • Ability to find solutions for complex problems and articulate them effectively.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and multiskill.
  • Motivated and result-oriented person who can work effectively both as a key team member and autonomously.
  • A methodical approach to work, priorities and documentation.

Your experience and qualifications are

  • Extensive HR Generalist experience, confident working independently in a standalone capacity.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.

We would highly regard work experience in Health care or aged care industries.
