About Us

Waratah Respite Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides flexible respite services in Coffs Harbour and the surrounding districts since 1987. We offer centre based social support and respite care in Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga as well as flexible overnight respite in our Maureen Guthrie Cottage for older people, those living with dementia and their carers.

About the Role

The Clerical Support Services Officer will work collaboratively with all teams within the organisation to provide support, coordination and administration to facilitate the delivery of business operations with a focus on front of house functions.

Reporting to the Manager and Team Leader Corporate Services, this role will be required to perform and assist with all administration and maintenance schedules.

Essential Criteria

  • Has a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the issues and concerns of frail older people and their carers' in today's society.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline and/or experience in a similar role for 2-3 years.
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing as an effective team member.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, including excel, word and publisher, as well as Information systems, and comfortable learning new technical / IT systems as needed.
  • Must have current Australian work rights for this position.
