About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Health Information Services Unit as Medical Records Officer (ASO2) where you will be responsible for:
- Working as part of a multi-skilled team contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service.
- Working on a rotational roster within the Medical Records Department and Patient Registration.
- Contributing to a comprehensive high quality, proactive and responsive patient registration and reception service to the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and members of the public.
- High level of interpersonal skills and incorporating conflict and aggressive behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work independently, as part of team and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and information security in a health setting.
- Understanding of high-quality customer service.
