Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned iOS developer with a strong foundation in Swift and SwiftUI, a solid understanding of Apple's ecosystem, and proven experience in shipping high-quality mobile applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architecture and code quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced applications for the iOS platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior iOS developers.
- Maintain and scale existing iOS applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
- Integrate APIs, third-party SDKs, and native iOS services such as Core Location and Apple Maps.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Stay current with the latest iOS trends, tools, and technologies and drive their adoption.
- Oversee App Store submission and ensure compliance with Apple guidelines.
- Self-driven, taking initiative and accountability for end-to-end feature development.
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Strong hands-on experience with Combine is essential.
- Expert knowledge of iOS SDK, Xcode, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with Apple Maps, Core Location, and third-party API integrations.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML data handling, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with WebSocket integration and offline-first architecture.
- Skilled in performance tuning, memory management, and debugging tools.
- Proficient in unit testing and UI automation testing (e.g., XCTest).
- Solid understanding of Git version control and code collaboration tools.
- Experience with in-app purchases, push notifications, and App Store deployment.
- Bonus: Exposure to cross-platform technologies like Flutter or React Native or Kotlin.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of proven experience in iOS development.
- Strong portfolio of published apps in the App Store.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with confidence.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes is highly regarded.
