We are looking for an
Senior IOS Developer
, this is a newly created role to lead & be the custodian for the IOS development of the software team.

This is a hands-on, senior-level position ideal for an engineer who values clean architecture, testing, and modern development practices, and who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.

Role responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Use dependency injection and clean architectural patterns to structure scalable codebases.
• Implement and maintain cross-platform modules using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP
• Collaborate with product managers, backend and Android engineers to design shared features and cross-platform logic
• Participate in agile sprints, contributing to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with designers to deliver intuitive, accessible, and performant UI experiences.
• Integrating real-time communication systems (MQTT) for emergency response
• Leveraging AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite to deliver on-device intelligent safety features
• Setting best practices for iOS engineering and mentoring junior developers
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to team coding standards and best practices.

Role requirements

• 5 + years of experience developing native iOS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience using dependency injection and modular, scalable architectures.
• Experience integrating real-time communication (MQTT, WebSockets, or similar) into iOS apps, as well as RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and Combine or equivalent reactive frameworks
• Experience working within agile development teams.
• Proven experience with modern Swift architecture patterns (MVVM, DI, modularisation).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong understanding of security practices in iOS (Keychain, biometrics, secure storage).

Nice to have experience

• Hands-on knowledge of Bluetooth frameworks (Core Bluetooth or related SDKs)
• Experience building apps with location services and mapping (Google Maps/Places).
• Experience integrating iOS apps with hardware-integrated or IoT devices(AWS IOT Core exposure).
• Experience with AI/ML on-device (TensorFlow Lite, MediaPipe).
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation, testing pipelines, or release automation tools
