Field Service Technician

Capital Cranes is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Field Service team in Perth. In this key role, you will ensure the reliability and safe operation of our clients' overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment. This is a permanent, full-time position offering exposure to a wide variety of projects—including opportunities to travel and work on major sites across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on cranes, hoists, and related mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults efficiently and safely
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimise equipment performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the business
About You:
- Hold an Australian-recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Demonstrated experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally with cranes, hoists, or heavy lifting equipment
- Possess a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to interpret manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Committed to safety, quality, and best practices
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with a willingness to travel as required
- Computer literate, with sound record-keeping abilities
- Eligible to work in Australia, and able to pass a medical, drug, and alcohol screen
