Role Description

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Fleet Coordinator / Transport Allocator to join our transport operations team.

In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you'll be responsible for managing fleet scheduling, driver allocation, and the efficient movement of materials across our network. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being at the centre of daily logistics activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate 
    daily delivery routes
    , allocating jobs to drivers efficiently.
  • Manage fleet schedules and 
    dispatch loads
     with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly with 
    drivers, customers, and internal teams
     to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maximise 
    fleet utilisation
     and oversee time-critical deliveries.
  • Liaise with quarry, operations, and subcontractor teams to ensure seamless freight movement.
  • Process customer orders and respond to enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Maintain a focus on 
    safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction
     at all times.

Hours:
 Monday to Friday, starting at 
6:30 AM
, with flexibility for longer days when required.

About You

You're proactive, organised, and enjoy solving challenges in a fast-moving transport environment. You work well under pressure, make confident decisions, and have strong communication and multitasking skills.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in a 
    transport allocation, fleet coordination, or logistics dispatch role
    .
  • Strong understanding of 
    Melbourne's metro road network
     and local delivery operations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with 
    drivers, customers, and team members
    .
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a 
    busy, deadline-driven environment
    .
  • Team-focused mindset and commitment to 
    safety and continuous improvement
    .
