Facility and Building Manager

The Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Building and Facility Manager to join our team. This is a dynamic, full-time role working across four different sites - so no two days will look the same.

The portfolio includes three industrial/commercial sites managed on behalf of private owners, as well as one residential strata scheme involving a strata committee and 40 residents. Some of these properties are newly onboarded, requiring the development of asset management plans and coordination of defect rectification with builders and contractors. You'll be the "face" of PBM onsite, building strong rapport with residents, contractors, committees, and private owners, while treating the properties under your care as if they were your own.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day building and facilities operations across four sites.
• Maintain presentation standards, conduct inspections, and manage preventative maintenance.
• Manage and implement asset management strategies, ensuring compliance and long-term performance of building infrastructure.
• Assist with liaising with contractors, supervising works, and supporting compliance with WHS and fire safety obligations.
• Coordinate with builders and service contractors to identify and resolve defects, particularly for sites within the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
• Assist with by-law compliance (residential site) and support the strata committees.
• Prepare reports, maintain logs, and support effective communication between residents, private owners, contractors, and strata managers.
• Be responsive, proactive, and a trusted point of contact for all stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management, ideally across industrial and strata-titled assets.
• Previous experience in building or facility management within strata, commercial, or industrial settings is preferred.
• Strong asset knowledge, with proven experience in remedial and rectification works.
• Demonstrated experience in defect management and onboarding of new sites.
• Familiarity with Opex/Capex budgeting and contractor performance management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, committees, contractors, and private clients.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and compliance.
• Problem-solving ability and confidence to make decisions in the best interests of the building.
• A "hands-on" mindset with a willingness to learn.
