The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused General Manager to lead our building management operations. This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing a team of 15+ Building and Facility Managers while also representing PBM in business development initiatives.
You'll combine deep technical knowledge of building or facilities management with strong leadership skills, ensuring our team continues to deliver Diamond-Class service across a diverse portfolio.
Calm under pressure, you'll also be a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships with strata partners, committees, developers, and prospective clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and support a team of 15+ Building and Facility Managers.
- Manage recruitment, HR, and performance of the building management team.
- Oversee service delivery, ensuring Diamond-Class standards are consistently achieved.
- Provide technical guidance and operational oversight in building and facilities management.
- Represent PBM in business development initiatives, including tenders, pitches, and industry networking.
- Meet with prospective clients and developers to expand the PBM portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with Premium Strata to ensure seamless service delivery across the group.
- Drive internal process improvement and support and conduct training initiatives.
- Provide strategic input into operations, client relationships, and business growth.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10 years' experience in building management, facilities management, or strata management (General Manager or Team Leader level).
- Strong technical knowledge of building operations, assets, compliance, and contractor management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
- Demonstrated business development capability, with experience in tenders, presentations, and client engagement.
- Calm, professional demeanour with strong problem-solving ability.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking.
