About the Role

Growplay, a leading international play equipment company with operations in Australia, the USA, the UK, and New Zealand, is searching for a creative and driven Senior Industrial Designer to join our innovative design team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape the future of our products while collaborating globally, including international travel to develop, test, and refine designs. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you'll bring your passion for creating meaningful, user-focused products and contribute to our mission of inspiring joy through play.

Australian work rights are required at the time of application.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the design process for Growplay products, from initial concepts to final production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and strategy.
  • Work with global suppliers to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and consumer preferences.
  • Create prototypes using tools like 3D printing, mock-ups, and in-house fabrication resources.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software is required for this position.
  • Uphold Growplay's commitment to safety, quality, and innovation in every design.
  • Travel internationally to evaluate products, collaborate with teams, and inspire new ideas.
  • Contribute fresh perspectives while aligning with Growplay's established design ethos.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of industrial design experience is required.
Key Skills & Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience designing consumer products, either in-house or at an agency.
  • Expertise in designing for manufacture, including plastics, metal fabrication, and textiles.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • A modern design sensibility with a keen eye for balance, form, color, and detail.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD
  • Hand sketching skills to convey ideas quickly.
  • Enthusiasm for international travel as part of the design and testing process.
