Senior Civil DesignerAbout the jobAs a global leader in the engineering and construction industry, Fluor provides sustainable solutions and builds a better world by designing, building, and maintaining safe, well executed projects.At Fluor we focus on attracting, retaining, and developing people who share our passion and commitment to improve quality of life.Role description:Due to consistent growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work both within Australia and overseas aSenior Civil Designerrole has been created within our Perth office to augment our current team.Currently we are executing several exciting iron ore, copper, nickel, rare earths and lithium projects and studies in Australia, Zambia, Panama and Indonesia and our diverse range of projects and the territories in which we work offers job security and a differentiator in what prospective candidates can add to their CV.Role accountabilities:Interface and represent Fluor with key Clients and Contractors.Design coordination for selected projects or components of projects including taking responsibility for collaborating with other design disciplines in areas such as earthworks, roadworks, and drainage.Developing and maintaining relationships with Project Managers and Engineers, Designers and Drafters of the Civil discipline and other related disciplines (i.e., mechanical, and structural).Provide quality in the delivery of design models and drafting deliverables for various stages of design in studies and execution phase projects including the development of material take-off's (MTO's).Successfully plan and complete assigned projects within agreed budgets and timelines.Ensure production of project documents are accurate and clear and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the projectWorking with junior designers and drafters and guide them in delivery.Qualifications & Experience:A collaborative approach and appreciation of the value of teamwork.Relevant engineering degree and/or certifications.Demonstrated industry experience using software across civil projects.High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality outputs within desired timeframes.Good communication skills.A passion for continuous improvement, quality and improving service for our clients.Comprehensive design experience (>7 years) delivering resource and infrastructure projects.Sound knowledge and experience working with relevant Australian standards including AUSTROADS.The ability to work collaboratively in a high performing team environment.Differentiators:Strong portfolio of overseas and Australian projects.Diversity of product (i.e., iron ore, copper, nickel, lithium, rare earths)Competitive rates.Flexible working approach (RDO available).Established brand
