As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality bucket, tub, and GET designs from concept through to production. You will use advanced 3D modelling and simulation tools to develop, test, and optimise designs that improve performance, durability, and efficiency.

  • Produce detailed design and manufacturing drawings using 3D CAD software (preferably Siemens NX).

  • Conduct manual calculations, FEA simulations, and design verification activities.

  • Manage product trials, site testing, and validation, reporting on performance outcomes.

  • Support continuous product improvement initiatives based on field performance data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and commercial standards.

  • Provide high-level technical support to internal stakeholders and customers.

About you:

You're an experienced mechanical design engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept to reality. You combine strong technical knowledge with creativity and a passion for innovation. You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 8+ years' experience in mechanical design within mining or heavy manufacturing industries.

  • Advanced 3D CAD modelling and drafting skills (Siemens NX preferred).

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in FEA (Ansys) and design optimisation.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across local and global teams.

  • (Desirable) Experience in foundry processes.

  • (Desirable) Experience in wear management.

  • (Desirable) DEM simulation (Rocky DEM).
