Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our Melbourne-based team.

Purpose of the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV and battery projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client expectations. The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, managing project schedules, procurement, and maintaining client communication throughout the delivery phase. Project Managers work closely with the Engineering and Administration teams to ensure seamless project execution from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Delivery
- Manage all aspects of project delivery following design completion, including scheduling, procurement, logistics, and subcontractor coordination
- Develop and maintain project programs, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
- Oversee site mobilisation, installation progress, and completion activities
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery or installation issues promptly
- Stakeholder and Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project delivery
- Conduct project meetings, site visits, and progress updates at key stages
- Manage communications between clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders to support repeat business and brand reputation
- Procurement and Resource Management
- Source and procure project materials, plant, and subcontractor services in line with approved budgets
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of components and materials
- Approve and manage hire equipment and site resourcing requirements
- Quality, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure subcontractors comply with project safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Support HSE processes and conduct site checks in coordination with the Senior Project Manager and Head of Operations
Skills and Attributes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management, organisation, and problem-solving ability
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects
- Sound understanding of project budgeting and scheduling principles
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience using Trello or similar Kanban-style project management tools
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in construction, electrical, or solar project management
- Understanding of Australian construction WHS obligations and industry standards
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field works
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate as required
