1 full time, fixed term appointment (12 months with the possibility of extension)

Lotterywest is also the employing agency for Healthway, the only State Government department dedicated to health promotion. For over 30 years, Healthway has funded projects and research to inspire Western Australians to live healthier lives.

Job Profile

The Data Projects Lead is responsible for leading the development and delivery of projects that have a significant focus on data design, development and delivery activities.

About you, you have:

  • Tertiary education in business and data analytics or equivalent field and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics and data engineering activities using industry programming languages (SQL, R, Python) and data processing tools to develop business knowledge and insights
  • Demonstrated design and implementation experience in business reporting and visualisation (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Experience in identifying trends, patterns and causal relationships in complex datasets to provide actionable insights
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills, seeking opportunities to trial new approaches and consider multiple different scenarios
  • Highly developed communication skills including the ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively across teams in developing, integrating and managing complex business issues, activities and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management practices
  • Databricks experience and/or exposure is highly desirable
