Agile Broadcast is a specialised solutions provider to the Australian broadcasting industry. Many radio broadcasters rely on Agile Broadcast's products, knowledge and technical services for daily operations.

Agile Broadcast staff are passionate about all areas of radio broadcast engineering.  Through our industry experience and technical knowledge of station operations, we offer our clients advanced solutions in all areas of radio broadcast engineering, from consultancy and installations to repairs and maintenance.

We now have an exciting opportunity within our Streaming Support team This is a critical role in helping us continue to grow our business.

Working with us as our Streaming Support Specialist will involve providing first-class support to broadcasters.

This role will involve shift work and some weekend work. Flexible work arrangements are available. This is a part-time role (0.5 Full-time equivalent).

Working as an integral part of our friendly team, other duties will include:

  • Answering tech support requests via phone and email
  • Monitoring ticket system and responding to and/or delegating/escalating tickets
  • General user administration tasks
  • Assisting other techs when needed with assigned projects and other tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good working knowledge of Linux.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical clients.
  • A good ability to set a positive tone when speaking to clients.
  • A strong understanding of streaming technology and its various uses.
  • A general knowledge of standard/popular multimedia formats.
  • A good understanding of PC and server hardware, infrastructure, network topology, and client-server model.
  • A mid to mid-high level knowledge and understanding of web programming languages (HTML, PHP, Java, etc).
  • Positive in attitude towards colleagues, supervisors and clients
  • Reliability and willingness to take on new tasks.
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability and willingness to learn on the job
