Seeking Professional Floor Installer

Location: Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast

Working Hours: 8 hour days, Casual Basis (Up to 4 days a week between Monday & Friday. No weekend work.

Petrol Reimbursement: For jobs based on Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast

Due to rapid growth and high demand leading up to Christmas, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Professional Floor Installer to join our team on a casual basis and work directly alongside the owner in the day-to-day operations. There is potential for permanent fulltime ongoing work for the right fit from January. As a small, highly rated business with over 7 years of experience, we pride ourselves on providing a professional, reliable, and efficient flooring service, offering everything from prep work to board supply and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a range of floating flooring systems with the support of the current team of flooring labourers and assistants, including Hybrid, Bamboo, Laminate, and Timber products.
• Work directly alongside the business owner, following instructions and contributing to the efficient completion of each project.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and ensure every installation meets company standards for finish, fit, and presentation.
• Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe worksite at all times in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Site preparation and levelling
• Removal and disposal of existing flooring materials (carpet, tiles, vinyl, etc.)
• Cleaning, sweeping, and end-of-day tidy-ups
• Occasional tip runs or material pickups
• Install trims, skirting, stair nosings, and other finishing components as required to complete installations.
• At times, be required to meet the owner onsite at the start of a project or work independently to complete assigned tasks.
• Be proactive in identifying and resolving on-site issues, ensuring that any challenges are communicated and addressed promptly.
• Take pride in workmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to a positive team culture by being reliable, respectful, and solution-focused.

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 12 months of experience installing Hybrid, Bamboo, Laminate, and Timber flooring, skirting, trims, stair nosings.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working with both hand and power tools.
• Strong communication skills, able to take instructions and offer input when needed.
• Must have a QLD Open Driver's License and own car to commute to various job sites.
• Petrol reimbursement offered for any jobs based on the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Australia.
