With a strong dealer and distributor network, they continue to grow through innovation, market responsiveness, and strategic partnerships.
About the Role
Based ideally in Brisbane, the National Sales Manager will have 3 direct reports and run a team of 4. It will lead sales and business development activities across Australia, with responsibility for dealers, distributors, and the national sales team. This role has full ownership of sales revenue, gross margin, and market expansion strategies for products, parts, and services. Working closely with internal product, marketing, and technical teams, the National Sales Manager will drive commercial outcomes by strengthening customer relationships, optimising distribution channels, and leading targeted growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and revenue
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing national sales team
- Build and manage relationships with key dealers and distributors
- Oversee sales pipeline management and CRM utilisation
- Coordinate participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with product managers to align sales and production planning
- Take a hands-on role in major customer negotiations and contracts
- Develop and manage the national sales expense budget
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing national sales operations in industrial, mining, or defence sectors
- Track record of achieving sales growth and margin targets
- Strong dealer and distributor relationship management skills
- Technical aptitude, ideally with mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge
- Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, or related equipment desirable
- Skilled in developing sales strategies and leading successful teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
