About the role
This is a full-time Payroll Officer role, based in Childers, QLD 4660 at Oreco Group. As Payroll Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the company's payroll processes and ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
What you'll be doing
- Administering the company's payroll system and processing weekly payroll
- Ensuring all employee entitlements, deductions and superannuation contributions are accurately calculated
- Preparing and submitting payroll tax and superannuation returns
- Maintaining employee payroll records and updating personnel information as required
- Providing payroll support and guidance to employees
- Identifying and resolving any payroll discrepancies or issues
- Assisting with the implementation of new payroll policies and procedures
- Providing administrative support to the HR Advisor as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a payroll officer or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of payroll processing, including award interpretation, tax, superannuation and leave entitlements
- Proficient in using payroll software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
