We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male Disability Support Worker to provide care for an 11-year-old boy with Autism.

The role includes:

  • Assisting with transportation.
  • Supporting access to community and recreational activities.
  • Spending time at home engaging in play and building positive connections.
  • Providing support with daily self-care routines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in disability support, possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate empathy and patience. Responsibilities include promoting independence, ensuring safety, and maintaining a supportive environment. A commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting the participant to and from activities.
  • Facilitating participation in community and recreational events.
  • Spending time at home engaging in play and building positive social connections.
  • Supporting with daily self-care routines to promote independence.
  • Fostering a safe, supportive, and positive environment.

Requirements:

  • Working with children check, NDIS screening check
  • Valid license, and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of disability rights and advocacy.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Legal right to work in Australia.
  • Public Liability Insurance (as an ABN support worker).
  • Comprehensive car insurance
