The OpportunityVMIA is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage a portfolio of complex, litigated Sensitive Liability matters. You don't need prior experience in this subject area — we'll support you with the exposure and trauma-informed aspects — but you must bring strong technical capability in running complex litigated files end to end.

The Role

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of complex litigated claims from assessment to resolution
  • Work closely with panel lawyers, counsel, government stakeholders and advocacy groups
  • Provide clear, defensible recommendations in high-scrutiny environments
  • Navigate sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end litigated claims (any portfolio)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to assess liability, set strategy and influence outcomes
  • Resilience and maturity when working with sensitive or challenging subject matter
