About the Role
Lead a significant regional portfolio where you'll combine strategic oversight with on-the-ground engagement across multiple branches. This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing a large regional remit, shaping and delivering a strategy that prioritises sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and safety leadership while ensuring consistent execution of the branch-led model. Reporting to the State Manager, the role offers variety, regular travel across your allocated branches, and the autonomy to focus your time where it is needed most. Flexible location options within Northern NSW, including Newcastle, will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic and operational performance across multiple branches in the region
- Oversee budgets, forecasting, and P&L to optimise resources and assets
- Ensure safety, compliance, and service standards are consistently met
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, fleet utilisation, and productivity
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external networks
- Maintain a visible presence through regular travel to sites within your remit
Skills & Experience
- Senior leadership experience in a multi-site operational environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record in driving growth and improving performance
- Experience in sectors such as resource recovery, transport, logistics, freight, industrial services, or other operational service environments with transferable skills
- Knowledge of fleet management, labour management, and operational compliance
- Proven capability in P&L management, budgeting, and strategic planning
- High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage operational leaders
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (post-grad desirable)
