About The Role

CFA is offering a full-time, ongoing opportunity for a Health Monitoring and Rehabilitation (HMR) Coordinator — a pivotal role within our organisation that directly supports the health, safety and operational readiness of our frontline personnel.

As the HMR Coordinator, you will lead the development, promotion and coordination of Health Monitoring and Rehabilitation teams across the state. This is your opportunity to shape and drive programs that ensure emergency responders are safe, supported and able to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the implementation of HMR teams across CFA.
  • Provide expert field-based support, supervision and guidance to new and existing teams.
  • Develop and deliver tailored training programs to build capability within the HMR workforce.
  • Evaluate protocols, analyse performance and drive continuous improvement in health monitoring systems.
  • Conduct field-based audits and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
  • Offer technical advice during operational incidents and represent CFA on key inter-agency committees.
  • Maintain and develop health data systems, contribute to health-related research and support integration of HMR practices into broader emergency management frameworks.

About You

  • Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Demonstrated experience in program development in a health-related discipline.
  • High level of experience in procedural development and accompanying consultation practices.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to influence others.
  • Demonstrated experience in health planning, evaluation, delivery of health monitoring activities and health education.
  • Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s or demonstrated extensive experience in the areas of pre hospital medical practices, industry health risks and health and safety.
