The Purpose:

 This role is responsible for determining and managing the day-to-day project activities, planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to project objectives, while also managing resources, and risks, including change management and stakeholder management to successfully deliver an end-to-end solution for AP+ and its members/customers. Finally, role modelling, coaching and mentoring team members to ensure a consistent capability of delivery.

The core accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Leading and coordinating project teams, ensuring tasks are completed according to plan, and managing project resources effectively.
  • Tracking project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including project team members, and management.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact project success.
  • Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
  • Managing project resources, including human resources, equipment, and budget.
  • Overseeing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects stay within budget constraints.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.

The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience as a Senior Project Manager
  • Proven project management skills to deliver outcomes through effective planning and governance
  • Experience in Delivery practices and tools (Waterfall/Agile, Jira)
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with clear and effective communication, to influence and align priorities.
  • Solid budgeting and forecasting expertise for informed decision-making
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective measurement frameworks
  • Proactive risk management across projects.
  • Proficiency in applying tools and methodologies to drive consistency
  • Knowledge of the payments technology, IT systems and the financial industry
