Your Opportunity
The Project Engineer is accountable in operational management to deliver optimum results whilst maintaining a safe working environment, cost, and quality delivery as tendered.
What will a day in this role look like:
- Oversee business performance/systems and provide recommendations for business improvement/ growth
- Contribute to the preparation of operational Project Budget and plans, in accordance with current BU/Group requirements
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations.
- Comply with and require others to comply with relevant legislation, standards and Codes of Practice and Codes of Conduct
- Maintain health and safety as a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetings
- Participate as required in consultative forums pertaining to H&S management
- Initiate H&S processes across the project, including toolbox talks, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks
- Promote the reporting of incidents, near misses, hazards, non-conformances, system improvements and customer complaints and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
- Undertake corrective actions arising from H&S processes, including implementing incident investigations within agreed timeframes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirement and all relevant Company policies and procedures.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Degree qualification in Engineering/Project Management or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of construction projects
- Demonstrated capability gained in a business / project management role at similar level
- Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
- Preparation and management to operational budgets and reviewing financial information
- Oversee and control the execution of all tasks and projects in branch/department.
