Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Clinical Nurse Educator (ICU) to join our growing team on a part-time (0.4EFT) fixed term parental leave coverage until March 2027.

The Clinical Nurse Educator (ICU) is a highly skilled registered nurse with a passion for education and continuous improvement. This role supports the delivery of workplace learning and development for ICU staff across undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs. Working collaboratively with the Education and Quality teams, the Educator enhances staff capability, supports clinical excellence, and contributes to improved patient outcomes.

The role of the Clinical Nurse Educator (ICU) is:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate education and training programs specific to intensive care nursing.
  • Provide clinical teaching, supervision, and assessment to support learners across all levels.
  • Ensure educational resources are current, evidence-based, and aligned with LRH policies, ANZCOR guidelines, and NSQHS standards.
  • Monitor and review mandatory training compliance, workforce needs, and department recommendations.
  • Contribute to policy, protocol development, and quality improvement initiatives related to ICU education.
  • Maintain and demonstrate competency in Certificate IV Training & Assessment and Advanced Life Support.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in intensive care or education.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent).
  • Advanced Life Support (adult, paediatric, neonate) competency.
  • Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in a high-acuity setting.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interprofessional collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, staff development, and evidence-based practice.
