Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Palliative Care Clinical Educator to join our growing team on a part-time (0.8EFT) fixed term basis for 24 months.

The Palliative Care Clinical Educator role is to support and inspire our workforce in delivering excellence in palliative care in Gippsland. Drawing on your professional expertise, you will lead education and training programs, mentor staff, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning to ensure patients and families receive the highest standard of care.

The role of the Palliative Care Clinical Educator is:

  • Provide clinical education, support and mentoring to nurses, students and staff working in palliative care across LRH and Gippsland region.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver education programs, including regional palliative care training days and professional development activities.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practice and current research into education programs, promoting reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with medical educators, clinicians and regional partners to strengthen learning opportunities and engagement.
  • Promote and showcase palliative care services through initiatives such as Palliative Care Week and regional forums.
  • Monitor, evaluate and adapt training to meet workforce needs and organisational priorities.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • A graduate certificate (or higher) in a Palliative Care.
  • Demonstrated 5 years post registration experience including 3 years in palliative care.
  • Experience in delivering training, mentoring or education in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and support others.
  • A commitment to integrity, respect, adaptability and person-centred care.
