We are seeking an Accountant – Systems to join our team, supporting the smooth operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our financial systems. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technology, and collaborating across finance and IT.

About the Role

In this position, you'll play a key part in ensuring our finance systems are accurate, secure, and continuously improved. You'll provide frontline technical support to users, assist with system testing and upgrades, and contribute to developing financial reports and documentation. Acting as the bridge between finance and IT, you'll help ensure our ERP system and operational software deliver maximum value to the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for financial system users and assist with daily operations
  • Maintain data integrity, user access, and system security protocols
  • Support testing of new functionalities, upgrades, and feature rollouts
  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and system documentation
  • Assist in creating financial reports, dashboards, and configurations
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and vendors to resolve issues and deliver enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve system efficiency
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • 1+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Pronto preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of excel and database management
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and internal controls
  • Ability to analyse financial data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working effectively across finance and IT teams
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion (desirable)
