Regional Engagement OfficerContract: ASAP until 1st Dec 2027 with extension likely

Hours: 30 hours a week over 4-day (flexible, potential for overtime)

Rate: $102,321 pro rata plus Super

Location: Tamworth / regional northern NSW

To note: We are recruiting multiple roles across regional Australia. We are looking for passionate candidates with a strong connection to their local communities. Candidates must be Australian Citizens and have their licence.

Work in a federal government agency that aims to respond to the impacts of climate change, support community and industry needs, and improve access to water for First Nations people.

Your new role

Working closely with independent and government agencies, stakeholders and regional communities, day-to-day activities will include:

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between regional communities and government agencies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of effective community engagement strategies, providing feedback and advice to support with responsive decision making
  • Collaborating with and providing support to colleagues working across regional Australia
  • General administration, attending and organising meetings, travel when required.

  • Ambition and passion to help achieve sustainable management of natural water resources

    Successful candidates will need to complete relevant checks and have a current drivers licence.
