New England Insurance Group Pty Ltd is the Elders Insurance agency in Tamworth where we currently have an opportunity for an Insurance Claims Officer.

This position offers you a development opportunity with potential for career progression with a leading Elders Insurance franchise and a competitiveremuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

The role

We are looking for a new CLAIMS OFFICER to add value to our already successful team.  You will be fully trained and mentored in company practices. Duties will include:

  • Processing and Managing claims
  • Claims enquiries
  • Assisting with insurance quotations, new business, renewals.
  • Office administration, telephone enquiries.
  • Opportunities exist to be trained in other areas of the business including account management and sales.

You

To be successful in this role you must be able to:

  • Display a knowledge of claims management in a similar role or closely related role.
  • Display a knowledge of general insurance.
  • Display a high level of computer literacy and accuracy with data input.
  • Have good communication skill and organisational skills.
  • Obtain satisfactory police and ASIC clearances.
  • Obtain or have already Tier 2 accreditation in Australian Financial Services Reform Act 2001 (FSRA) Insurance.

  • Teamwork and co-operation.
  • Concern for quality, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Flexibility, and a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
