We have Multiplecasual positions available for experienced Maritime Security Officers with Current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) to develop their career in the Maritime sector in Burnie and Devonport ports, Tasmania. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General Maritime Security Duties inclusive of Traffic control, Gatehouse, Contractor escort, Screening & Mobile Patrol duties
  • Provide excellent frontline customer service
  • Administration tasks
  • Risk identification, incident response and issue resolution
  • Observe, practice, and implement OHS practices
  • Monitor access points and ensure only authorized personnel enter designated areas.
  • Conduct thorough security checks and screenings as per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all personnel movements and incidents.
  • Respond promptly to security breaches and emergencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Must Hold MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) and TSP (Transport Security Protection)
  • Current Tasmania Security License
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic security systems including CCTV & Electronic Access Control Systems
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current National police check no older than 3 months.
  • Current Driver's License
  • Full/unlimited Right-To-Work in Australia
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
  • Proficient in working within a team environment and independently
  • Self–directed and the ability to take initiative
  • Intermediate computer and administration skills
  • Physically fit and able to walk/stand for long shifts - 12 Hours
  • The role is 24-7 and requires availability to work both day & night shifts
