Job Position

The primary objective of this position is to maintain the operational efficiency of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guarantee the optimal performance of propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery in accordance with set requirements.
  • Perform routine deck inspections and maintenance as scheduled by the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure that all self-unloading machinery and equipment are properly maintained to achieve efficient operation in line with prescribed standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • Hold a valid AMSA Marine Order 72 certification for Engineer Class 3 (CoC/CoR Unlimited).
  • Have at least six months' sea time experience as an Engine Watchkeeper.
  • Be an Australian citizen or have unrestricted Australian work rights.
  • Possess a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Hold a Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) and other desirable certifications.
