We brew and package everything ourselves and value amazing hospitality and authentic brewery experiences across three venues in Geelong, Ocean Grove, and Torquay. We love amazing, personable service and it is our main goal for every person who walks through our doors to have a whole lot of fun.
Blackman's is currently searching for the perfect Content Creator to create engaging short-form videos, reels, and shorts for a variety of mediums and audiences. Think storytelling through directing, and coordinating on-site brewery and venue shoots, editing video, collaborating on content strategy to ensure alignment with the marketing brief, and capturing behind-the-scenes moments to showcase our Blackman's and Coast products and brand.

About the Role:
Our range is made up of beers that cover a variety of flavours and styles and, now with Coast Hard Seltzer in our bag of tricks, we are making quality beer and seltzer for everyone across two beverage brands. We want you to be the voice behind our social media channels; creating fun and engaging content that gets people excited about our latest brews, what happens behind-the-scenes in our brewery and venues, as well as the people who make it all happen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, shoot, and edit photos and videos to create reels and shorts that are appropriate for our social media channels for both Blackman's Brewery and Coast Hard Seltzer.
- Curate authentic content to capture the real, unfiltered moments from our brewery and tell our story in new and engaging ways. We want you to highlight the passion behind every pint, whether it's a deep dive into a new brew's flavour profile, a fun tour of our fermentation tanks, or a spotlight on the brewer.
- Work closely with our marketing team to align with content calendars and campaign ideas. We want your input and your fresh perspective
- Help shape our brand's voice and online presence.
Here are the qualities we're looking for:
- You have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in content creation.
- You have a portfolio of content you're proud of — we can't wait to see it
- You're creative with a camera and have an eye for great composition and what will translate with our audience.
- You're a whiz when it comes to social media who knows the latest trends and can turn a simple idea into viral-worthy content.
- You're passionate about craft beer and seltzer (or excited to learn)
- You're a self-starter who can work independently and manage your own projects.
- An excellent problem solver with the ability to keep a calm head and think your way through issues.
- Outstanding communication skills. You must be able to give and follow guidance carefully, connecting with our teams at all levels.
- Flexibility and time management skills. Integrate with our teams but get on with things and deliver.
- Be seriously organised. Organisation is key, demonstrate that you can work across a range of projects all at once.
- Creative, innovative, and always thinking of better ways to do things.
Hours:
This is a casual role offering 1-3 days of work each week with some weeks/months busier than others. Our venues are hospitality venues that are busiest and most active on weekends and when we run events after hours. Therefore, some of your on-site work or content capture will be required during these times to capture the atmosphere and events for social media.
Other than this, we want you to be able to work where you do your best work It will be a hybrid role with flexibility for editing and scheduling to be completed remotely.
