A rare opportunity has become available for an accomplished Mining Manager to lead our mining team at Hail Creek Open Cut Mine. This is a pivotal executive role, responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes while driving operational excellence and strategic growth.

Reporting into the Operations Manager/SSE, you will provide visionary leadership across all facets of mining, including truck and shovel operations, mine services, and operational drill and blast. We're seeking a Mining Manager who inspires their team, provides strong leadership, drives innovation and delivers results with safety, sustainability and compliance at the core.

The role

  • Lead with integrity, setting the strategic direction for operational success,
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations,
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost performance,
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver on corporate objectives and long term mine plans, and
  • Engage stakeholders and build strong relationships with workforce, community, and industry partners.

About you

  • Willing to obtain your coal Surface Mine Manager (SMM) certificate of competency by the legislated date,
  • Proven success in a senior operational leadership role within open cut coal mining,
  • Strong record of delivering results in safety, production, and cost management,
  • Strategic acumen with the ability to translate vision into execution, and
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
